SLUG Launch Party Recap
SLUG Agency had its official launch event on Saturday January 28th. Mammal Gallery provided the space where SLUG created an atmosphere unlike any other event in Atlanta.
From the PBR basketball trash cans that made a game out of throwing your cans away to putt putt area, and TV installations, it was all reminiscent of 90’s MTV Beach House mixed with Nickelodeon’s prime time slime era. Sponsored by brands that are equally representative of the aesthetic that SLUG provides such as Lugz, 10 Deep, Feel, Fools Gold Records, and Sailor Jerry Rum, Brutal Studios the entire atmosphere was fun and full of youth. Even Red Bull couldn’t help, but to stop by as the vibes remained intoxicating as the night progressed.
Villa, the musical guest of the night, had the floor shaking beneath the crowd as he performed his latest single “Busy Swaggin” for the first time along with other songs off of his latest project SEROTONIN.
The new and old faces of Atlanta’s creative scene mixed in perfect harmony as the sounds selection kept them entangled. From the fashionistas to the geeks there was no separation because the atmosphere made them all come as one. The entire SLUG team rocked their SLUG x Alternative Apparel collab T-shirts that carried the brand identity and are now available online for purchase along with the company’s first Zine.
